Why weddings? It is a question that never ceases to find its way into a conversation when you mention that you're wedding coordinator. It is a question that Pamela Joy Augustus and Vivian Anne Delpilar have answered probably more times than they can count since they started their business. And, after meeting with these friends, it is a question that has never had a more simple, yet beautiful answer.
"We believe in marriage."
Five years ago these two women decided to turn their hobby as wedding planners into an adventure in small business. Fueled by a knack for coordinating events as well a love for...well...love, Pam and Viv decided to start Love Anne Joy, offering services in both coordination and design to the SoCal area. Over the past half a decade, they have had the joy of watching their business grow gradually and their work featured on prominent wedding sites like Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake, Glamour & Grace, and Wedding Wire.
A year ago these ladies chose to take another step in faith and purchase Cerritos Florist which meant room to expand, a place to call their own as well as many new roles and responsibilities. With Love Anne Joy in full swing and its sister shop, Cerritos Florist, taking off with its new re-vamped image, Pam and Viv are in an exciting season of transition and growth.
However, one thing remains the same. They still believe in marriage. They still believe that the only reason to have a beautiful wedding is to kick-off a beautiful marriage. They still believe, even in a culture that under-appreciates the value of marriage, that it is one of the most important and life-changing commitments you can make. They want to be able to walk alongside their couples (who have also become their friends) and make sure that it is the best that it can possibly be. That way in a year - five years, ten years - down the road, when life is a little crazy (and maybe a little hard) their couples can look back on their wedding day and be encouraged by the sweetness and love of their commitment to each other.
And we are so thankful to be on that team with these two remarkable women.
